skilled work · Tulare County, CA — on-dairy scoring rounds
Dairy cattle body condition scoring round (5-point) — Tulare County, CA.
Fund it for $180. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$180 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.
What the work involvesTulare County is the heart of US dairy country, and body condition at dry-off and calving quietly decides the next lactation: thin cows and fast post-calving losers carry the transition-disease risk. A quarter-point BCS round is the cheap, validated herd screen that catches the drift while nutrition and management can still answer it.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- A published dairy BCS chart/guide (Edmonson/Ferguson system)
- Safe vantage to view each cow's loin, rump, hooks, pins, and tailhead
- Herd records with IDs and stage of lactation
- The prior round's scores for trend
Steps
- 1. Identify the groups to score (fresh, peak, late, dry) and pull IDs with stage of lactation.
- 2. Score each cow from behind and the side at the loin, hooks, pins, tailhead ligaments, and rump cover, assigning to the quarter point per the chart.
- 3. Record each score with ID and stage of lactation in the dated round log.
- 4. Compare against the prior round; compute per-cow change, flagging rapid post-calving loss.
- 5. List cows at BCS ≤2.25 and rapid losers for the herd veterinarian/nutritionist, with their stage context.
- 6. Flag any down, lame, or visibly sick cow for immediate veterinary attention, ahead of the report.
- 7. Deliver the round summary (distribution by stage, flagged list, trend) to the operation's decision-makers.
What counts as done
- Scores recorded to the quarter point with animal/group ID and stage of lactation
- Comparison against the prior round's scores (trend, not diagnosis)
- Animals at BCS ≤2.25, or losing condition rapidly after calving, listed and routed to the herd veterinarian/nutritionist
- Any down, lame, or visibly sick animal flagged for veterinary attention immediately, ahead of the report
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788112144585_uec5y9f","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
