Anyone can start here · Clinic/gym with calibrated dynamometer, New Orleans, LA
Handgrip dynamometry + percentile — New Orleans.
Fund it for $200. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$200 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.
What the work involvesGrip strength is a fast, cheap whole-body strength proxy: each ~5 kg lower grip tracks ~16% higher all-cause mortality, and low grip flags probable sarcopenia. Most people never measure it, so muscle loss goes unnoticed until it costs independence. Since Katrina pushed New Orleans off a hospital-centered safety net and toward community health centers, CrescentCare (an FQHC since 2013, building on more than 40 years as the NO/AIDS Task Force) has grown into one of the city's largest, a real no-cost-barrier route to a supervised grip reading.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- calibrated hand dynamometer (Jamar or equivalent)
- standard chair
- recording sheet
Steps
- 1. Seat the person, shoulder adducted, elbow flexed 90 degrees, forearm and wrist neutral (Southampton posture).
- 2. Set the dynamometer grip to the person's hand size; demonstrate a maximal squeeze.
- 3. Record 3 maximal efforts per hand, alternating hands, with ~15 s rest between efforts.
- 4. Take the highest of the three per hand (kg).
- 5. Compare the best value to the age/sex percentile table; record percentile.
- 6. Photograph the dynamometer readout; log both hands, best values, percentile, and posture confirmation; sign it.
What counts as done
- Three maximal efforts per hand in the Southampton seated posture
- Best value per hand in kg with the age/sex percentile
- Photo of the calibrated dynamometer readout
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788114299988_95an7kl","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
