Anyone can start here · Marked flat walkway, New Orleans, LA
4-meter usual-pace gait speed — New Orleans.
Fund it for $180. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$180 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.
What the work involvesGait speed is a validated 'vital sign of aging': usual pace under 0.8 m/s marks elevated risk of decline and death. It is fast, free, and gives a target that responds to strength and balance training. CrescentCare, one of New Orleans's largest community health centers and an FQHC since 2013, is part of the decentralized safety net the city built after Katrina replaced the old Charity Hospital system, a real clinician-routing path for a slow-gait flag.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- measured, marked flat walkway (>=6 m to allow acceleration zones)
- stopwatch
- tape/markers at the 4 m timed segment
Steps
- 1. Mark a 4 m timed segment with a 1 m acceleration zone before and after.
- 2. Instruct the person to walk at their usual, comfortable pace (usual gait, not fast).
- 3. Start timing when the lead foot crosses the start line; stop when it crosses the 4 m line.
- 4. Record 2 trials and take the faster; compute speed = 4 m / time (s) = m/s.
- 5. Allow habitual walking aids (cane/walker) and note them.
- 6. Photograph the marked walkway; log both trial times, m/s, and aids used; sign it.
What counts as done
- 4 m timed at usual (not fast) pace with 1 m acceleration zones, 2 trials
- Speed reported in m/s (faster trial kept)
- Any walking aid recorded; photo of the marked walkway
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788114306497_b4eqtjh","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
