All of it: the words, the place, the proof

Score the herd's cattle for lameness using the Sprecher 1-to-5 gait scale in Tulare County, CA. Tulare County's dairies already climb the measure step on body condition; locomotion is the other half of the same story. Sprecher's back-posture-plus-gait scale catches lameness , one of the top drivers of involuntary culling and depressed reproduction , while it is still a management fix, not yet a lost lactation or a hoof-trimmer emergency.

Fund it for $175. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.

What it looks like
A scorer at Tulare County watches each cow walk on a flat non-slip surface, rating its back posture and gait against a published 1 to 5 locomotion chart.

This job is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price, not money held for the worker. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
scored 1-5 walking on a flat non-slip surface + back posture plus gait both scored per Sprecher + scores 4-5 or non-weight-bearing limbs listed for follow-up + follow-up given by a veterinarian or hoof trimmer + the herd trend kept dated

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • stopwatch or timer
  • notebook or scoring sheet/app
  • a flat, non-slip walking lane or alley
  • camera or phone for documentation
  • hi-vis vest and quiet handling tools appropriate to cattle handling safety

Steps

  1. 1. Move each scored animal, one at a time, across a flat, unobstructed, non-slip walking surface at its own pace, without forcing or rushing it.
  2. 2. Observe the animal's back posture both standing still and while walking, and record whether the back is flat or arched.
  3. 3. Observe the animal's gait (stride length, weight-bearing, head bob, tracking-up) while it walks.
  4. 4. Combine the posture and gait observations to assign a single locomotion score from 1 (normal) to 5 (severely lame, often non-weight-bearing) per the Sprecher descriptions.
  5. 5. Record the score against the animal's ID, pen or group, and date in a dated herd log.
  6. 6. Compare the round's score distribution to the prior round's when one exists.
  7. 7. List every animal scoring 4-5, and any non-weight-bearing animal, and route each to a veterinarian or professional hoof trimmer.

What counts as done

  • Cattle scored walking on a flat, unobstructed, non-slip surface without forcing pace; back posture (standing + walking) and gait both assessed per the Sprecher 1-5 descriptions
  • Every animal's score 1-5 recorded with ID, pen/group, and date in a dated herd log kept against prior rounds
  • Animals scoring 4-5, or any non-weight-bearing limb, listed and routed to a veterinarian or professional hoof trimmer promptly — no lesion diagnosis or treatment chosen from this packet
  • Any down or acutely non-weight-bearing animal flagged for immediate veterinary attention ahead of the report

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788114398191_btxkvoy","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
