All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Sample about 300 bees from the brood nest for a Varroa mite wash count. Varroa destructor is the leading driver of US colony loss, and mite loads climb invisibly on adult bees until a colony collapses. The wash count turns a guess into a number, mites per 100 bees, that a beekeeper can compare against the season's real action threshold instead of treating on a calendar or a hunch.
Fund it for $140. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- wide-mouth jar with mesh lid (alcohol wash)
- isopropyl alcohol or windshield-washer fluid
- powdered sugar (for the sugar-roll alternative)
- 1/2-cup measuring scoop
- white tray or plate for counting mites
- notebook or data sheet
- camera
Steps
- 1. Open the hive and confirm the queen is located and set aside safely before sampling; never wash the queen.
- 2. Select an open-brood frame from the brood nest, since young nurse bees on open brood carry the most representative phoretic mite load.
- 3. Shake or brush bees from the frame into a container, then measure a level half-cup (about 300 bees) into the wash jar.
- 4. For the alcohol wash, add alcohol or windshield-washer fluid to cover the bees, shake vigorously for 60 seconds, then pour the liquid through the mesh lid onto a white tray and count the dislodged mites.
- 5. For the sugar-roll alternative on colonies too small to spare a lethal sample, add two tablespoons of powdered sugar to the jar, roll and shake for 60 seconds, shake the sugar through the mesh onto a white surface, count the mites, and return the bees to the hive alive.
- 6. Record the mite count and calculate mites per 100 bees from the ~300-bee sample.
- 7. Compare the mites-per-100-bees result to the Coalition's current seasonal action-threshold guidance and the Varroa Management Decision Tool, recording the comparison as a flag only.
- 8. Record colony ID, date, and wash method used, and log the result against the colony's prior mite-count rounds to show a trend.
- 9. Photograph the sample and the mesh/tray count for the record.
What counts as done
- Sample drawn from an open-brood frame with the queen confirmed set aside first; wash method (alcohol or sugar roll) recorded
- ~300-bee (level 1/2-cup) sample counted and mites-per-100-bees calculated, dated with colony ID
- Result compared to the Coalition's current seasonal threshold guidance / Varroa Management Decision Tool, recorded as a flag only
- Comparison logged against the colony's prior mite-count rounds to show a trend
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788116606804_yubaehb","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
