Anyone can start here · At home / national (any household, priority for pre-1986 plumbing or suspected lead service line)
Household lead-in-water screen, first-draw + flushed (certified lab) —.
Fund it for $140. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$140 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.
What the work involvesLead has no safe level and no taste, odor, or color — a home built before 1986 (when lead solder was banned) or served by a lead service line can be delivering it invisibly, and children and pregnant households carry the highest stakes. A paired first-draw/flushed certified-lab sample, read against EPA's action-level framing, is the only way to know — and it is the trigger for the utility's lead-service-line inquiry and a clinician conversation, never a home fix decided here.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- The certified laboratory's lead sampling kit (separate bottles for first-draw and flushed samples)
- A tap that has NOT been used for at least 6 hours before first-draw sampling (per standard protocol)
- Chain-of-custody form
- Household plumbing age/type records if known (year built, known pipe material, known lead service line status)
Steps
- 1. Confirm eligibility for urgent-priority screening: home built before 1986 (lead solder ban), a known or suspected lead service line, or a child under 6 / pregnant person in the household.
- 2. Contact the local water utility to ask directly whether a lead service line serves the property (many utilities maintain a public lead service line inventory/map under current EPA rule requirements).
- 3. Following the certified lab's kit instructions exactly, collect a FIRST-DRAW sample after the required non-use period (no flushing, first water out of the tap).
- 4. Following the same kit's instructions, collect a FULLY FLUSHED sample after running the tap for the lab-specified flush time.
- 5. Complete the chain-of-custody form noting the collection tap, non-use period, and any known plumbing/service-line facts.
- 6. Record the lab's reported first-draw and flushed lead results once received, in micrograms/L (ppb), with the lab's name and certification.
- 7. Compare both results only to EPA's action-level framing (currently 15 ppb at the system level; EPA is proposing 10 µg/L) — record the comparison, never a household 'safe' verdict, and route per the decision rules.
What counts as done
- Certified laboratory named, with first-draw and flushed samples collected per its own kit instructions and a signed chain-of-custody form
- Local water utility contacted (or contact attempt recorded) regarding lead service line status at the property
- Both lead results reported in µg/L (ppb) with the lab's name/certification, compared explicitly to EPA's action-level framing; no household 'safe' verdict written
- Pre-1986 plumbing status and any known service-line material recorded as context
- Any elevated result, or any household with a child under 6 or a pregnant person, routed per the decision rules
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788116706532_ve8fgwj","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
