Home after the hospital: accessibility retrofit plan.

Fund it for $540. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$540 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.

What the work involves

A Louisville family is bringing a parent home after a hip fracture and has two weeks to make the house work. This packet turns panic into a plan, the parent's claim of a safe return: entry steps and ramp feasibility measured at proper slope, bed-to-bathroom night path lit and cleared, quick-install items separated from contractor work so the right things happen before discharge day, with equipment and care needs routed to the occupational therapist.

Proof
routine map in the occupant's words + STEADI hazard photos + A117.1 measurements + the three-tier prioritized retrofit plan w/ funding paths: Real, Proven, One-of-one

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • camera
  • tape measure (doorway/hall widths, threshold heights, counter/bed/toilet heights, stair rise)
  • lux meter or light-meter app (task + path lighting)
  • tablet/clipboard with the STEADI-based room-by-room checklist
  • notepad for the occupant's own routine map (their words)

Steps

  1. 1. Walk the occupant's actual day with them: wake, bathroom, kitchen, mail, laundry, favorite chair, bed. Record where they hesitate, grab, or avoid, the retrofit plan serves this routine, not a generic checklist. Their claim is simple: to stay in this home, safely.
  2. 2. Run the fall-hazard walkthrough (CDC STEADI home checklist): loose rugs and cords, stair condition + handrails both sides, tub/shower entry, toilet height, night path from bed to bathroom; photograph each hazard.
  3. 3. Measure the home against ICC/ANSI A117.1 references: doorway and hall clear widths, threshold heights, one-zero-step entry feasibility, bathroom clearances and reinforcement-ready walls for grab bars, kitchen reach zones; measure the light level on night paths and task areas.
  4. 4. Assess first-floor-living feasibility honestly: could a bedroom + full bath + laundry work on the entry level, and what would each move require (and which require a licensed contractor or structural review)?
  5. 5. Build the prioritized retrofit plan: immediate zero-construction wins (rug/cord/lighting/night-light changes), quick installs (grab bars into solid blocking, handrails, lever handles, threshold ramps), and contractor-scale items (bath reconfiguration, ramp with proper slope ~1:12, door widening), each cost-banded, with funding paths (OAA/USDA-504/state) the household may qualify for.
  6. 6. Review the plan with the occupant and any family/caregiver they choose; enter photos, GPS/address, measurements, the routine map, and the ranked plan; sign. Real (their day, measured), Proven (photo+GPS+signature), One-of-one (this person, this home). Route care/equipment questions to their clinician/OT and structural/electrical work to licensed contractors.

What counts as done

  • Occupant's daily-routine map in their own words with hesitation/avoidance points
  • Fall-hazard photo walkthrough (STEADI checklist) covering stairs, bath, night path
  • Measurements vs ICC/ANSI A117.1: doorway/hall widths, thresholds, bathroom clearances, heights, night-path light levels
  • GPS / address confirm
  • Three-tier prioritized retrofit plan (zero-construction / quick-install / contractor-scale), cost-banded, funding paths + licensed-pro routing named

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788159106315_juurlhb","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
