intermediate work · 1400-1500 block of W Michigan Street, Haughville, Indianapolis, IN 46222

Insulate the rim joist.

Fund it for $400. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$400 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

What the work involves

The rim joist is the uninsulated band where the foundation meets the framing -- on this block's older basements it is bare and cold to the touch, bleeding heat all winter right above the sill. Spray-foaming it closes that gap for good.

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • caulk gun + backer rod
  • low-expansion spray-foam sealant (fire-rated where required)
  • storm window/door kit or rigid-foam rim-joist batts
  • heat-tape + pipe-insulation sleeves (freeze-protection runs)
  • camera
  • tape measure + utility knife

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm the scope with the occupant/facility manager against the readiness survey's ranked target list (or a fresh walk if none exists); photograph the untreated bypass, window, rim-joist run or pipe run.
  2. 2. Prep the surface: clean and dry the substrate, remove failed old caulk or weatherstripping, and clear any debris blocking the install.
  3. 3. Install the sealing/insulation material to the target's spec -- storm window/door, spray-foam bypass seal, rim-joist rigid-foam batt, or heat-tape plus pipe-insulation sleeve -- per manufacturer instructions.
  4. 4. Verify the result (smoke-pencil/hand check for bypass work, fit-and-lock check for storm windows/doors, continuous-coverage check for rim-joist or pipe insulation) and photograph the finished install from the same vantage.
  5. 5. Note any combustion-safety or moisture flag surfaced during the install and route it to a BPI-qualified pro before continuing to the next target.

What counts as done

  • Before photo of the bare rim joist
  • After photo of the foamed rim joist from the same vantage
  • Materials note: foam type and installed thickness/R-value

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788179519807_xhr7re8","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
