intermediate work · 1300 block of V Street SE, Anacostia, Washington, DC 20020
Regrade and waterproof a still-flooding basement areaway.
Fund it for $480. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$480 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Open, but not claimable yet. restricted: regulated — Regulated or permit-required work cannot be claimed on this rail yet. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.
What the work involvesThe drain-clear job at this rowhouse on the 1300 block of V Street SE, Anacostia, Washington, DC 20020 found the areaway still ponds with a clear drain, the floor itself slopes the wrong way and the wall face is bare masonry soaking up every rain. Regrading the floor and coating the wall stops the seepage at the source.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- masonry patch compound + trowel
- waterproof/damp-proofing coating + brush or roller
- sand/gravel for regrading the floor slope
- camera + level + tape measure
Steps
- 1. ASSESS: confirm via the prior drain-clear job's finding that the areaway still ponds after a clear drain; photograph the floor slope, wall face and drain location; confirm the areaway walls are sound (no active structural cracking) before regrading.
- 2. Regrade the areaway floor with sand/gravel fill to a positive slope toward the drain (minimum 1/4 inch per foot), tamping as you go; re-test water flow to the drain.
- 3. Patch any minor wall cracks with masonry compound, let cure, then apply a waterproof/damp-proofing coating to the below-grade wall face per the product's instructions.
- 4. Let the coating cure per spec, then photograph the finished areaway (floor slope, coated wall, clear drain) and re-run the water test showing drainage with no ponding.
What counts as done
- Before photo of the floor slope and bare wall face
- Slope measurement showing positive grade to the drain
- After photo of the regraded floor and coated wall + water-test showing no ponding
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788180691767_tzdq4br","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
