advanced work · Legacy industrial/commercial demolition site, Gary, IN
OSHA Subpart T pre-demolition engineering-survey check, Legacy industrial/commercial demolition site (Gary).
Fund it for $540. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$540 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Open, but not claimable yet. restricted: regulated — Regulated or permit-required work cannot be claimed on this rail yet. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.
What the work involvesA Gary legacy commercial structure is queued for mechanical demolition with unclear utility isolation, unknown asbestos status, and no posted exclusion zone per OSHA Subpart T. Fire-weakened members and live services make unsurveyed demolition lethal.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- hard hat + safety glasses + hi-vis vest + sturdy boots (site PPE)
- tablet/clipboard with the Subpart T pre-demolition checklist
- camera with zoom (document structure condition from outside / safe positions)
- flashlight
- copy request forms for the written engineering survey + utility shutoff confirmations
Steps
- 1. Check in with the demolition contractor's competent person; confirm scope, don PPE, and confirm you observe-and-document only, you never enter a structurally compromised structure, never authorize demolition, and never disturb suspect materials.
- 2. Written engineering survey: verify a competent person's WRITTEN engineering survey of the structure AND affected adjacent structures exists on site (framing/floors/walls condition, unplanned-collapse possibility) and photograph its cover/signature page (§1926.850(a)); note bracing/shoring where fire or weathering has weakened members (§1926.850(b)).
- 3. Utilities: document shutoff/cap/control confirmation for electric, gas, water, steam, and sewer lines outside the building line, or the documented relocation/protection plan if a utility must stay live during the work, and that utility companies were notified (§1926.850(c–e)).
- 4. Hazardous materials: verify the hazardous-material determination is on file, including the NESHAP pre-demolition asbestos survey, and that any chemicals/gases/flammables in pipes or tanks were purged or controlled before work (§1926.850(f)); never sample or disturb suspect material yourself.
- 5. Access & falling-hazard protection: photograph protected employee entrances (sidewalk sheds/canopies where required), condition of stairways/passageways to be used, and barricading that keeps the public out of the demolition and debris-fall zones (§§1926.850(h–k)/.851).
- 6. Mechanical demolition (if underway or planned): from outside the exclusion zone, confirm no workers are inside the structure during ball/clamshell or machine demolition and the exclusion zone is barricaded (§1926.859).
- 7. For each finding, mark the condition against the Subpart T checklist item, assign a tier (stop-work / correct-before-proceed / monitor), and name the responsible competent person / engineer.
- 8. Enter photos, GPS/address, the checklist, and the tiered findings; sign. Route stop-work items to the competent person with a timestamp, never direct the demolition yourself.
What counts as done
- Written engineering survey (structure + adjacent structures) verified and its cover/signature page photographed; bracing/shoring of weakened members noted
- Utility shutoff/cap/control confirmations (electric/gas/water/steam/sewer) or the documented live-line protection plan photographed
- Hazardous-material determination incl. the NESHAP pre-demolition asbestos survey verified on file
- Protected access, public barricading, and any mechanical-demolition exclusion zone photographed + GPS / address confirm
- Tiered findings list (stop-work / correct-before-proceed / monitor) with the competent person / engineer named + timestamp of stop-work items routed
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788183212457_fxnmdkr","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
