2. Prepare the bed by hand (clear existing turf/weeds, loosen soil) without disturbing irrigation lines or park utilities.
3. Plant a native Tamaulipan thornscrub understory mix (such as cenizo, blackbrush, and native wildflowers) at the design rate and spacing.
4. Water in and mulch the planting; photograph the finished planting from the matching before vantage and record species/count.
