1. 1. Confirm the feature with Texas Parks and Wildlife staff and photograph the litter strewn or eroding drainage apron before starting, staying on the surface well back from the opening.
2. 2. Hand remove litter and debris from the surface drainage apron around the feature with hand tools only, no power equipment, never approaching or entering the opening.
3. 3. Hand place erosion control matting and native grass plugs on the surface apron to slow surface runoff into the feature.
4. 4. Photograph the protected apron from the matching before vantage and record the area treated.
