- 3. Record species (best estimate), condition class (good/fair/poor/dead), and DBH (diameter at breast height).
- 4. Count vacant planting sites.
- 5. Enter the per-tree records, vacant-site count, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.

- Debris-disposal manifest with any suspected hazardous material (paint cans, tires, unknown drums) screened out and routed separately, never handled by this crew
- Grading log confirming a level, plantable surface with no buried debris left in the root zone
- After photos of the cleared, graded lot with new trees/plantings placed and a fence or low border marking the cared-for space
