  1. 1. Walk the property's perimeter and yard systematically, checking containers, clogged gutters visible from the ground, tarps, plant saucers, and low grading for standing water.
  2. 2. Photograph every spot found with a GPS tag, noting whether water is present now or the spot pools after rain.
  3. 3. Sketch a simple site map marking each spot's location relative to the house.
  4. 4. Sort each spot into 'owner can empty today' vs 'needs drainage/gutter work', and note which.
  5. 5. Hand the map and notes to the owner and photograph the handoff.
