Functional Movement Screen (FMS) — 7-pattern movement-quality audit — telehealth / national.
Fund it for $200. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$200 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
What the work involvesMost people start or resume a training program without ever finding out which specific movement pattern (squatting, lunging, stepping over an obstacle, shoulder mobility, core stability) is the one actually holding them back — or that one side moves differently from the other. The FMS turns that guesswork into seven scored patterns a coach can act on, without repeating this library's existing fall-risk balance screens: this standard is about movement QUALITY across a broader set of patterns, not balance or fall risk specifically, and it is deliberately never framed as predicting injury — the evidence for that use is weak and this standard says so.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- flat, non-slip open floor space (~10 ft clear in each direction)
- a dowel rod or broomstick (for the in-line lunge and shoulder-mobility patterns)
- a hurdle step or an adjustable cord/elastic at shin height (for the hurdle step)
- a 2x6 board or a taped line for the in-line lunge footprint
- a stopwatch/camera for video scoring
- a tape measure (for scaling the hurdle step and lunge board to the person's height)
Steps
- 1. Pre-test screen: ask about current injury, recent surgery, uncontrolled joint instability, or acute back/neck pain per pattern; route any positive flag to a clinician or physical therapist and skip that pattern (never test through it).
- 2. Deep squat: feet shoulder-width, dowel overhead, squat as low as possible keeping the dowel over the feet and heels down; score 0-3, video from front and side.
- 3. Hurdle step (each leg): step over a shin-height hurdle scaled to the person, keeping the stance leg stable and torso upright; score 0-3 per side, video from front.
- 4. In-line lunge (each leg): heel-to-toe stance on a board scaled to tibial length, dowel held vertically along the spine, lower the back knee toward the board; score 0-3 per side, video from the side.
- 5. Shoulder mobility (each side): reach one hand behind the neck and down the back, the other behind the back and up, measure the fist-to-fist gap scaled to hand length; score 0-3 per side, then clear with the shoulder-impingement clearing test (pain here overrides the score to 0).
- 6. Active straight-leg raise (each side): lying supine, raise one straight leg as high as possible while the other stays flat on the floor; score 0-3 per side against the tibial-midpoint reference.
- 7. Trunk stability push-up: from a push-up position scaled by sex (hands at forehead level for men, chin level for women), lift the whole body as one unit in a single motion; score 0-3, then clear with the spinal-extension clearing test.
- 8. Rotary stability (each side): from quadruped, extend the same-side arm and leg together, then flex knee-to-elbow underneath the body while keeping balance and a flat spine; score 0-3 per side (a diagonal opposite-limb pattern is allowed as a partial credit per the published protocol), then clear with the spinal-flexion clearing test.
- 9. Record all 7 pattern scores (paired patterns recorded per side), sum the composite (lowest score of each paired side counts toward the 0-21 total per the published protocol), flag any left/right asymmetry, and note any pattern that scored 0 for pain and was routed out.
What counts as done
- Pre-test pain/red-flag screen completed per pattern before testing; a positive flag on any pattern routes that pattern to a clinician or physical therapist and the pattern is not scored
- All 7 patterns attempted and scored 0-3 (deep squat, hurdle step, in-line lunge, shoulder mobility, active straight-leg raise, trunk stability push-up, rotary stability), with the paired left/right patterns scored on both sides
- Composite score (0-21) recorded, plus any left/right asymmetry (>=1-point difference on a paired pattern) flagged as its own coaching target
- A movement-quality coaching plan recorded, targeted at the lowest-scoring pattern(s) and any flagged asymmetry -- explicitly NOT framed as an injury-risk score or a fitness-for-duty clearance
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788242538607_1nl6gtu","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
