Steps

  1. Review the readiness survey's moisture map and confirm the moisture source has been (or will be) corrected before remediation begins.
  2. Contain the work area (plastic sheeting, negative air where the affected area exceeds 10 sq ft) per EPA guidance.
  3. Remove and bag the affected porous material (drywall, insulation) and HEPA-vacuum/clean the remaining hard surfaces.
  4. Verify dryness with a moisture meter, dispose of contained waste per local rules, and photograph the finished, dry surfaces.
