intermediate work · the Garey Ave corridor, Pomona, CA 91766

Build a roofed shelter.

Fund it for $700. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$700 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Open, but not claimable yet. restricted: permit-required — Regulated or permit-required work cannot be claimed on this rail yet. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.

What the work involves

This corridor has an unsheltered donated community fridge sitting exposed to full sun and rain with no protection for its compressor or the food inside; building a small roofed, weatherproof shelter structure around it keeps the fridge running and the food safe.

Proof
before/after photos + frame level/plumb check + roof weatherproofing confirm + fridge-clearance/ventilation measurement + GPS

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • the published plan set + building or parks permit + the 811 utility-locate confirmation
  • framing lumber or the kit package, specified fasteners, and post bases or footing hardware
  • circular saw, drill/driver, post-hole tool, and a mixing tub for footing concrete
  • 4-ft level, square, tape measure, string line
  • eye and hearing protection, gloves, dust mask for cutting
  • exterior finish (paint, stain or sealant) rated for the exposure
  • camera + GPS phone

Steps

  1. 1. ASSESS: photograph the site as found, confirm the permit and the plan cover this footprint, and confirm the 811 locate is honored before any digging.
  2. 2. Set out the footprint to the plan dimensions and check it against the accessible route and any sight-line requirement the parks department set.
  3. 3. Dig and set the footings or post bases to the plan depth; check plumb and diagonal square before the concrete sets.
  4. 4. Frame the structure to the plan, fastening at the specified pattern; keep every cut edge sealed and every fastener recessed or covered so no sharp edge is left in public reach.
  5. 5. Fit the weatherproofing (roof, glazing, door or latch) and confirm it sheds water away from the structure and the walking surface.
  6. 6. VERIFY: level and plumb readings on the finished structure, latch and door operation, and a check that nothing protrudes into the accessible route.
  7. 7. Photograph the finished build from the before vantage, log the permit and inspection reference, and enter both in the proof record.

What counts as done

  • Before photo of the unsheltered fridge
  • Frame level and plumb check on the completed structure
  • Roof weatherproofing confirmed (flashing/overhang keeps rain off the fridge and door)
  • Compressor-side clearance and ventilation measurement (fridge vents unobstructed)
  • After photo of the completed, weatherproof shelter

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788272332632_0p9c90q","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
