advanced work · 5600–5700 block of W Wilshire Blvd (public right-of-way + typical commercial conditions), Los Angeles, CA 90036

Swap a gas rooftop HVAC unit.

Fund it for $220. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$220 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Open, but not claimable yet. restricted: permit-required, regulated — Regulated or permit-required work cannot be claimed on this rail yet. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.

What the work involves

Gas-pack rooftop units on this block's commercial buildings burn fossil fuel for heat over an electric grid that gets cleaner every year; a packaged heat-pump swap on the same curb is the direct Energy-Petal repair.

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. Verify the load sizing and curb adapter plan against the existing unit; photograph nameplates and confirm permit + crane/landing logistics with the building.
  2. Recover refrigerant from the old unit per EPA 608 and remove it for documented disposal/recycling.
  3. Set the new packaged heat-pump unit on the curb adapter; connect ducting, condensate and controls; a licensed electrician lands the circuit.
  4. Commission: verify charge, airflow, delta-T in both modes, and economizer/controls operation.
  5. Pass the mechanical/electrical inspection; photograph commissioning readings and the finished installation.

What counts as done

  • Old-unit nameplate photo + EPA 608 recovery record
  • Commissioning sheet (charge, airflow, both-mode delta-T)
  • Permit inspection pass reference
  • Before/after roof photos

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Living Building Challenge, Energy Petal. The Energy Petal is the Living Building Challenge's boldest promise: a building that makes more energy than it uses, proven over a full year of lights, laundry, and cold mornings. Mastery looks like a house so tight and so carefully tuned that its rooftop panels run the meter backward. Every such house began the same humble way, with someone finding the leaks and sealing them. A packet like this one, a few honest hours of sealing and measuring, is the first rung of that ladder. Buildings become net positive one closed gap at a time.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788292121947_ywqrbia","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
