public streets in the Govalle and Johnston Terrace neighborhoods, east Austin, Travis County, TX
Observe glare and bird activity.
At low sun a worker and a partner stand at a marked waypoint on public ground and photograph the glare off the glass modules with a phone, then log the birds flying over and around the array. Read all of it

All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Log glare and bird activity at Austin Energy La Loma Community Solar Farm from fixed public-ground waypoints at low sun. Two questions follow a big field of glass and almost nobody answers them locally: does it throw glare into a road, a home or an approach path, and do birds treat it as water. Work the waypoints morning and evening, and log bird activity over and around the array with any collision evidence found on public ground. blackland prairie soils in an east Austin neighborhood, mowed turf between the rows. This is observation, not a hazard determination: a persistent glare into a roadway or an approach path is reported to the road authority or the airport, and any dead bird found is reported to the state wildlife agency rather than collected.
Fund it for $80. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- regionally native low-growing seed mix with a species label and a labeled sowing rate
- hand tools: rake, broadfork, hand weeder, tamper
- measuring tape, flags and a GPS phone
- camera
- no-mow signage, stakes and a mallet
- hi-vis vest
Steps
- 1. Get the site owner's written permission naming the exact area, and call for a utility locate before any tool enters the ground.
- 2. Score the ground as it is: dominant species, bare-soil share, the mowing regime today, the mature height the owner's clearance allows, and the state habitat scorecard result where a state runs one.
- 3. Flag the area and photograph it from fixed points, keeping every part of the work clear of cable runs, conduit risers, post footings and equipment pads.
- 4. Prepare the ground with hand tools only: rake or broadfork the surface, loosen where the soil sampling found compaction, and use no herbicide and no weed killer of any kind. On a capped or lined site, surface work only and no tool that breaks the cap.
- 5. Sow the native mix at its labeled rate, photograph the label, record the species list, the supplier and the sowing date, and set the no-mow signage.
- 6. Publish the before and after photos, the GPS polygon, the seed label, the mature height against the owner's clearance limit, and the first-year care plan with a named steward.
What counts as done
- GPS waypoints on public ground with a photo from each at low sun, morning and evening, times recorded
- Glare recorded as present or absent at each waypoint, with what it falls on: road, home, path, nothing
- A timed bird activity log over and around the array, by group, with the observer and the weather
- Any collision evidence found on public ground: photographed in place with GPS, reported to the state wildlife agency, and never collected or moved
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788297443113_uqjkgrm","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Open, but not claimable yet. restricted: permit-required. Regulated or permit-required work cannot be claimed on this rail yet. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
