intermediate work · Steward-invited cleared lot, Gratiot Avenue corridor, Detroit, MI 48213

Convert a cleared Detroit lot into a neighborhood growing space.

Fund it for $420. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$420 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

What the work involves

Detroit's east side has more cleared lots than fresh-food outlets, and the city's deep urban-farming tradition shows exactly what a lot can become. Converting one cleared, host-stewarded lot into raised growing beds turns maintenance burden into food.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. Confirm the lot's steward invitation or land-bank side-lot ownership before building.
  2. Lay out three to four raised beds with paths wide enough for wheelbarrows.
  3. Build the bed frames from untreated lumber and line the bases with cardboard.
  4. Fill the beds with delivered clean topsoil-and-compost mix, never the lot's own soil.
  5. Mulch the paths between beds with wood chips.
  6. Photograph the finished garden layout with GPS and date on and record bed count and dimensions.

What counts as done

  • GPS-and-date-stamped photo of the finished beds and paths
  • Photo of the clean soil delivery or bags
  • Photo of the cardboard base lining going in
  • Steward confirmation note with bed count

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Edible Garden Cultivation. Edible garden cultivation is food growing done to the standards the land-grant universities have refined for a century: healthy soil in tested beds, the right crop in the right season, hand tools, patience, and records. Mastery looks like a Master Gardener's plot, beds that feed a family most of the year from a piece of ground the size of a parking space. Every gardener who reaches that point started with a single bed and a single season. This packet is that start: one bed built or tended properly, one honest note about what happened.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788302829172_ahspagk","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
