Locate every attic, crawlspace, and eave vent reachable from the ground or a step platform under 6 ft with the occupant.
Cut 1/8-inch galvanized mesh to overlap each vent opening.
Fasten mesh over each vent with screws and washers, keeping the vent's airflow open.
Log any high vents out of safe reach for a contractor list.
Photograph each screened vent before and after.
