Safety, read before you claim
Owner-report screening only, never a diagnosis; any mild-band, sudden, or worsening score routes to a veterinarian before any supplement or medication. It is a diagnosis of exclusion a veterinarian must confirm; nighttime disorientation or a fall risk is fixed at once with the environment steps.
The full safety list for this job:
- Pain, sensory loss, urinary tract infection, endocrine disease, and other medical causes can look identical and must be ruled out first.
- Never start selegiline, supplements, or a specialty diet from this packet alone, since that choice stays veterinary directed.
- This packet is independent of and not affiliated with the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice -- named as real, verified national veterinary-education context, not a confirmed personal affiliation of the cited researchers.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- printed or digital 17-item CADES questionnaire
- notebook or phone app for scoring and the trend log
- a checklist or tape measure for the home hazard audit (rugs, stairs, lighting)
- phone or camera for photographing hazard areas
Steps
- 1. Complete all 17 CADES items from direct observation of the dog's recent behavior across the four domains: spatial orientation, social interactions, sleep-wake cycles, and house soiling.
- 2. Total the score and compare it to the published bands: 0-7 normal aging, 8-23 mild cognitive impairment, 24-44 moderate cognitive impairment, 45 and above severe cognitive dysfunction.
- 3. Record the total against any prior CADES score for the same dog to establish a trend.
- 4. Walk the dog's home environment and audit it for slick-floor traction, ramp or step access to furniture and favored elevated spots, night lighting near sleeping and feeding areas, and routine consistency.
- 5. Record concrete, owner-implementable fixes for each hazard found: a non-slip runner, a ramp, a night light, a fixed feeding schedule.
- 6. Route any score in the mild band or above, or any worsening trend, to a veterinarian for an exclusion workup before recording a recommendation.
- 7. Enter the domain scores, total, trend, environment audit, and fixes into the proof record; sign.
What counts as done
- All 17 CADES items scored across the four domains (spatial orientation, social interactions, sleep-wake cycles, house soiling) with the total compared to the published bands (0-7 normal, 8-23 mild, 24-44 moderate, >=45 severe)
- Trend recorded against any prior CADES score when one exists
- Home environment audited for traction on slick floors, ramp/step access to furniture and favored elevated spots, night lighting near sleeping and feeding areas, routine consistency, and current daily activity level, with concrete fixes the owner can make recorded
- Any score in the mild band or higher, or any worsening trend, routed to a veterinarian for an exclusion workup before any supplement, diet change, or medication is considered
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788681845461_39k4jyh","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
