All of it: the words, the place, the proof
HONESTY LIMIT stated directly: confirmed via PubMed's own record (NCBI eutils, PMID 19517407) that Lisa M. Freeman -- this standard's own second citation's first author (Freeman et al. 2011, WSAVA Nutritional Assessment Guidelines, J Small Anim Pract) -- is affiliated with Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Tufts University, North Grafton, MA, per her own affiliation on a closely related 2009 nutrition paper. The exact 2011 WSAVA guidelines citation's own PubMed record (PMID 21649660 / 22616443) lists no specific author affiliation, attributing authorship only to the WSAVA Nutritional Assessment Guidelines Task Force collectively, so this connects to Freeman's confirmed institution on a nearby paper by the same first author, not a confirmed affiliation on this standard's own literal citation. A genuinely distinct real institution and city from the existing national, Los Angeles (dense population, low-cost capacity), College Station (Texas A&M's own scientific record), Raleigh (NC State's specialty caseload), Toronto (WSAVA, the standard's own guideline-issuing organization), St. Louis (Nestle Purina, a pet-nutrition industry research headquarters), Hoboken (Wiley, the WSAVA citation's own journal publisher), and Schaumburg (AVMA, a national veterinary professional body) tiles -- North Grafton is this standard's own second citation's first author's institution, the strongest possible connection for that citation, a ninth distinct category.
Fund it for $140. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- The dog or cat, calm and standing
- A published 9-point BCS chart (WSAVA versions are freely available)
- Both hands free for rib palpation
- The current diet's label and daily amount
Steps
- 1. Let the animal settle; stand it if possible. Have the 9-point chart beside you.
- 2. Palpate the ribcage with flat fingers: note whether ribs are felt easily under a slight fat cover (ideal), only with pressure (heavy), or are sharply prominent (thin).
- 3. Look from above for a visible waist behind the ribs, and from the side for an abdominal tuck (dogs) or a minimal belly pouch (cats — a small primordial pouch is normal).
- 4. Assign the 1-9 score the chart's descriptions actually support; record the palpation and both visual findings that justify it.
- 5. Compare to the ideal band 4-5/9 and record the result as a trend against any prior score.
- 6. Record the current diet and daily amount. If the score is out of band or the keeper wants a diet change, route to a veterinarian FIRST — do not coach a restriction plan.
- 7. Set the recheck date.
What counts as done
- BCS 1-9 recorded with the rib-palpation finding and both visual checks (overhead waist, side profile) noted
- Comparison to the ideal 4-5/9 band recorded as a trend, not a diagnosis
- Out-of-band score (≤3 or ≥7), or any planned diet change, routed to a veterinarian first — a named low-cost or nonprofit veterinary route counts
- Current diet and daily amount recorded as context
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788978765542_tyokcy2","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
