All of it: the words, the place, the proof

Monofilament fishing line lost at a public fishing pier does not break down, is nearly invisible in the water, and keeps entangling and killing fish, turtles, wading birds and other wildlife for years after an angler loses it. A pier concentrates that loss at a single structure, line snagged on rails and pilings and hooks left in the deck boards, right at the spots anglers stand and cast. Confirm with park staff whether a monofilament recovery tube already exists at this pier; where none exists, a labeled PVC recovery tube built and mounted at the spots anglers actually use gives that line somewhere to go besides the water.

Fund it for $150. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

Pay
$150 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
staff confirmation + assembled/mounted photos + deck-only confirmation + GPS position

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm with park staff whether a recovery tube already exists at this pier, and confirm the mounting plan before drilling any hole in the rail or a piling.
  2. 2. Assemble the recovery tube from schedule 40 PVC pipe and fittings following the published Berkley/NOAA design, with a wide top slot sized for a hand holding a coil of line, never a slot narrow enough to need a hand pushed inside.
  3. 3. Mount the tube to the pier rail with stainless hose clamps or lag screws, working from the deck side only, standing behind the rail the whole time.
  4. 4. Label the tube clearly with a weatherproof "USED FISHING LINE ONLY" sign and the install date.
  5. 5. Photograph the empty, mounted tube from the deck and record its position along the pier.

What counts as done

  • Confirmation that park staff were asked whether a recovery tube already exists at this pier before installing a new one
  • Photo of the assembled tube showing its wide top slot
  • Photo of the tube mounted to the rail, taken from the deck
  • Confirmation that all mounting work happened from the deck behind the rail, never reaching over open water
  • GPS position of the mounted tube recorded along the pier

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Coastal Habitat. Coastal habitat is the green fringe where land meets sea: eelgrass meadows, kelp beds, salt marsh. Acre for acre these are among the most life-giving places on Earth, nursery to the fish and buffer to the storm, and NOAA's assessment methods exist because they are quietly shrinking. Mastery looks like a person who can survey a stretch of shore and say, with evidence, whether the meadow is spreading or retreating. This packet is one piece of that watching: one site, one careful observation, one record added to the long ledger of the coast.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1789311130938_xfci0zr","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
