Steps
- 1. Confirm with the resident where fallen branches and brush already sit on the property, and pick a build spot at least 30 feet from the house, any other structure, the driveway, and any path, with nothing stacked against a fence line either; photograph the bare spot before starting.
- 2. Gather fallen branches and limbs already lying on the ground nearby by hand or wheelbarrow, using no power tool or cutting tool of any kind.
- 3. Stack the gathered material into a single loose, crisscrossed pile with a wide base, leaving gaps and hollows for cover rather than packing it tight, roughly waist to shoulder height.
- 4. Photograph the finished pile from the matching before vantage and record its approximate footprint and its distance from the nearest structure.
