2. Watch and count swifts circling and entering the tower until full dark or until no more birds enter for 10 minutes, whichever comes first.
3. Record the peak circling count and the final entry count, plus date, time, and weather.
4. Photograph the tower silhouette from the vantage point; never use flash or a spotlight on the entering birds.
