Steps
- 1. ASSESS: verify the planned location meets NFPA 855 clearances (egress, separation, temperature range) and the wall/pad can carry the weight; photograph the location and the main panel before work.
- 2. Mount the battery and gateway/inverter per manufacturer torque and clearance specs; anchor seismic where required.
- 3. A licensed electrician runs conduit, lands conductors, installs disconnects/overcurrent protection, and applies NEC 706 labeling per the plan set.
- 4. Commission: energize per the manufacturer checklist, verify charge/discharge operation and backup transfer (if islanding), and register monitoring.
- 5. VERIFY: pass the AHJ inspection; photograph the installed system, clearances, and labels; record the commissioning report and leave the owner the operating guide.
