All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Install a multi-bed community farm plot with real walking rows at the Figueroa St corridor by Sycamore Grove Park, Los Angeles, CA. The audit is expected to find no growing space serving this whole corridor, and a vacant fenced lot next to the park sits unused; framed and filled, that lot becomes real growing capacity feeding a weekend farm stand for the corridor's cafes and residents.
Fund it for $1,280. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
Safety, read before you claim
Untreated/food-safe lumber only for frames; call 811 before any post-hole digging or fence-line work; reject visibly contaminated fill soil. Site-owner/lease agreement precedes work; trained crew for the multi-bed build scale.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- a spirit level to set each frame level, a shovel to fill each bed and a hose to soak each bed
Steps
- Photograph the vacant, unused lot this job's title names as it is found, before any work starts.
- Confirm the site-owner or lease agreement is in hand, and call 811 to have underground utilities marked before any post-hole or fence-line digging, then wait for the marks.
- Walk the edge of the full farm plot and record GPS boundary points around it.
- Draw the bed-layout plan showing the rows, the walking paths between them and the total count of growing beds.
- Build each bed frame from untreated, food-safe lumber to the plan and set it level on the ground.
- Look over the fill soil as delivered and send back or set aside any load that looks visibly contaminated.
- Fill each bed to at least 8 inches deep with soil and compost, and log the fill depth and the compost or amendment used for every bed.
- Soak each bed fully, wait 30 minutes, check for standing water and log the drainage result for each bed.
- Photograph the finished plot and enter the before photo, layout plan, per-bed depth log, drainage results and GPS boundary into the proof record; sign.
What counts as done
- Before photo of the vacant, unused lot
- Bed-layout plan showing rows, walking paths, and total growing-bed count
- Soil-fill depth log per bed (minimum 8 inches) + amendment/compost note
- Drainage confirmed per bed (water test: no standing water 30 min after a full soak)
- GPS boundary of the full farm plot
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
Edible Garden Cultivation. Edible garden cultivation is food growing done to the standards the land-grant universities have refined for a century: healthy soil in tested beds, the right crop in the right season, hand tools, patience, and records. Mastery looks like a Master Gardener's plot, beds that feed a family most of the year from a piece of ground the size of a parking space. Every gardener who reaches that point started with a single bed and a single season. This packet is that start: one bed built or tended properly, one honest note about what happened.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment, made by the payer straight to the worker, with no Vealth fee. Paying Vealth is closed: Vealth takes no new card or wallet payment for a job. To fund a job, offer to pay the worker directly, then pay them yourself when you accept the proof, from your own wallet or by your own card or bank. From a wallet: prepare_token_offer, sign, submit_token_offer; after the proof is accepted you pay the worker on chain and the worker records it (prepare_token_settlement, or POST /labor/settle for USDC on Base). By card or bank: prepare_direct_offer, sign, submit_direct_offer; you pay the worker yourself and the worker records it with prepare_direct_settlement. Both are free, need no gas, and move no money through Vealth.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
