Steps
- Visit every public drinking fountain on the route.
- Test each for flow, pressure, temperature, and visible condition.
- Photograph each fountain and note defects: no flow, leaks, fouling, damage, closure.
- Log each fountain's status on the route sheet.
- Compile the monthly log and record it with GPS and date.

The standard this serves
Drinking Water Safety. Drinking water safety rests on hard numbers: the EPA and the World Health Organization publish exact limits for lead, bacteria, nitrates, and the rest, the line between water that is safe and water that only looks safe. Clear water can fail the test; slightly cloudy water can pass it. Only the test knows. Mastery means clean sampling habits, honest custody of every sample, and readings a stranger can trust. This packet is one correct sample or one careful reading, taken by the book. Every safe glass of water stands on somebody having done this properly.
What is promised, and what is not
