- Confirm the invited resident's cooler is a window- or ground-mounted unit reachable without a tall ladder.
- Unplug the cooler, open the side panels, and remove the old caked pads.
- Cut and fit new pads, clear scale from the water tray and pump screen, and reseat the panels.
- Plug the unit back in and run it to confirm cool, even airflow.
- Photograph the old pads, the new pads installed, and the running unit, with GPS and date.
