All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Repair a drafty original window sash on a historic Nevada City building. Many of Nevada City's historic downtown buildings still carry their original wood window sashes, beautiful but drafty after more than a century of settling and weather. A careful sash repair restores the seal without replacing the historic window itself.
Offer to pay $360. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
Safety, read before you claim
Owner permission required; ground-floor windows only. Treat the old paint as lead paint until tested, and sanding is done only by an RRP-certified renovator under lead-safe containment; wear eye protection.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- Get building-owner permission and identify the drafty sash.
- Remove the sash carefully from its frame, noting orientation.
- Re-glaze or reset any loose glazing putty around the panes.
- Have an RRP-certified renovator sand and re-seat the sash under lead-safe containment so it seals evenly against the frame.
- Reinstall the sash and add fresh weatherstripping at the frame edge.
- Photograph the finished sash from inside and outside.
What counts as done
- Before photo
- After photo
- Owner acknowledgment
- Lead test result, or the RRP-certified renovator's name and containment record
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
Weatherization Readiness. Weatherization readiness is the survey that turns a cold, expensive-to-heat home into a fundable plan. Following the Department of Energy's program, the surveyor maps where the house leaks air, which attics and walls lack insulation, what fresh-air path must follow the tightening, and which safety checks must clear first. Mastery looks like a walkthrough that ends with a package a weatherization crew can price without a second visit. This packet is one piece of one such survey, done carefully and written down, so a real family's real house gets closer to warm.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment, made by the payer straight to the worker, with no Vealth fee. Paying Vealth is closed: Vealth takes no new card or wallet payment for a job. To fund a job, offer to pay the worker directly, then pay them yourself when you accept the proof, from your own wallet or by your own card or bank. From a wallet: prepare_token_offer, sign, submit_token_offer; after the proof is accepted you pay the worker on chain and the worker records it (prepare_token_settlement, or POST /labor/settle for USDC on Base). By card or bank: prepare_direct_offer, sign, submit_direct_offer; you pay the worker yourself and the worker records it with prepare_direct_settlement. Both are free, need no gas, and move no money through Vealth.
Open, but not claimable yet. restricted: regulated. Regulated or permit-required work cannot be claimed on this rail yet. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
