Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands bluff trails, near Point Arena Light, Point Arena, CA 95468
Anchor erosion-control matting.
A trained trail crew anchors erosion-control matting to the tread at Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands bluff trails, staking it flush from the stable side of the trail, then tug-tests each anchor to confirm it holds. Read all of it
Not funded yet. Settles as earned credit, $380 proposed.

All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Anchor erosion-control matting along this eroding Stornetta bluff-trail edge near Point Arena, working only from the stable tread side. A segment of the Stornetta bluff-top trail is actively eroding at its seaward edge, undercutting the tread and threatening to narrow or close a public trail on this California Coastal National Monument unit.
Offer to pay $380. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
Safety, read before you claim
Trained BLM/State-Parks trail-crew only, working from the stable tread side. Never stand on or lean over an undercut or crumbling bluff edge; any segment too unstable to safely matt gets flagged for a licensed geotechnical assessment instead of forced work.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- a mallet to drive the anchor stakes and a tape measure to set their spacing
Steps
- 1. ASSESS: with the BLM/State-Parks trail crew supervisor, walk the eroding trail-edge segment and confirm which sections are stable tread vs. an actively undercut/crumbling bluff edge; photograph the segment as found.
- 2. Stage erosion-control matting and anchor stakes; work only from the stable tread side, never standing on or leaning over an undercut edge.
- 3. Roll out and anchor the matting flush to the trail tread, staking it at the spacing the manufacturer/crew plan specifies so it will not lift in the next storm or high-wind event.
- 4. VERIFY: tug-test each anchor point, photograph the finished, secured matting from the matching before vantage, and flag any section too undercut to safely matt for a licensed geotechnical follow-up.
What counts as done
- Before photo of the eroding trail-edge segment
- Anchor tug-test log confirming the matting is secured against lifting
- Matting-area spec (material, dimensions) recorded
- After photo of the finished, anchored matting from the matching vantage
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
Coastal Habitat. Coastal habitat is the green fringe where land meets sea: eelgrass meadows, kelp beds, salt marsh. Acre for acre these are among the most life-giving places on Earth, nursery to the fish and buffer to the storm, and NOAA's assessment methods exist because they are quietly shrinking. Mastery looks like a person who can survey a stretch of shore and say, with evidence, whether the meadow is spreading or retreating. This packet is one piece of that watching: one site, one careful observation, one record added to the long ledger of the coast.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment, made by the payer straight to the worker, with no Vealth fee. Paying Vealth is closed: Vealth takes no new card or wallet payment for a job. To fund a job, offer to pay the worker directly, then pay them yourself when you accept the proof, from your own wallet or by your own card or bank. From a wallet: prepare_token_offer, sign, submit_token_offer; after the proof is accepted you pay the worker on chain and the worker records it (prepare_token_settlement, or POST /labor/settle for USDC on Base). By card or bank: prepare_direct_offer, sign, submit_direct_offer; you pay the worker yourself and the worker records it with prepare_direct_settlement. Both are free, need no gas, and move no money through Vealth.
Open, but not claimable yet. This work requires a trained crew; trained crew cannot be established yet. The requirement is a structured fact about this kind of work, not a line of the packet's text. A credential opens a job only when its holder recorded it and a person checked it against the issuer's own public lookup, and an attestation does not establish one, so this job is not open to self-claim without it. It is not claimable yet for a reader with no checked credential on record; a wallet the board has cleared for this job reads it as open. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
