On-farm / national (dairy goat and sheep operations)
Somatic cell count mastitis screen, dairy goat/sheep herd — on-farm / national.
Test milk somatic cell count in dairy goats and sheep, then confirm any high result before treating it as mastitis. Read all of it
Not funded yet. Settles as earned credit, $190 proposed.
Proof it takes, the deadline, the level
- ProofSCC measured via DHIA lab or on-farm handheld meter + Result compared to the animal's own prior baseline first + CMT score, if used, confirmed by lab SCC, never alone + Sudden rise flagged over any fixed number + Affected animal isolated, milked last, per farm protocol + Treatment decision routed to a veterinarian under VCPR

All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Test milk somatic cell count in dairy goats and sheep, then confirm any high result before treating it as mastitis. A herd cell-count round catches udder infection while it is still subclinical, but a fixed cattle-style threshold misreads a healthy goat as sick, so this screen has to hold the species' own honesty limit or it does more harm than good.
Fund it for $190. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- DHIA-affiliated laboratory submission kit, or a calibrated on-farm handheld SCC meter
- California Mastitis Test (CMT) paddle and reagent, if used as a cow-side screening step
- Individual animal ID system and a dated herd log for tracking each animal's own SCC trend
- Teat dip and post-milking sanitation supplies
Steps
- 1. Collect a milk sample from each animal per the DHIA lab's or meter manufacturer's own protocol.
- 2. Where used, run the CMT paddle test as a quick cow-side screen, scoring gel formation 0-3.
- 3. Any CMT score of 1, 2, or 3 confirmed by sending that animal's sample for laboratory SCC measurement, never treated as a standalone positive.
- 4. Record each animal's SCC result against its own prior rounds in a dated herd log, watching for a sudden rise rather than comparing to a fixed cattle-style cutoff.
- 5. Flag any animal with a sudden SCC rise, a lab result approaching or above 1,000,000 cells/mL, or visibly abnormal milk (clots, discoloration).
- 6. Isolate and milk a flagged animal last in the milking order per the operation's own biosecurity protocol, applying post-milking teat dip.
- 7. Route any flagged animal to a veterinarian under a formal VCPR for diagnosis and treatment decisions; never select an antibiotic, dose, or withdrawal period from this packet.
What counts as done
- Milk somatic cell count measured per animal via a DHIA-affiliated lab or a calibrated on-farm handheld meter, dated and logged against prior rounds for that same animal
- A sudden rise in an individual animal's own SCC trend flagged as the primary signal, never a fixed absolute cutoff alone, given the species' naturally wide normal range (200,000 to over 1,000,000 cells/mL)
- Any California Mastitis Test (CMT) score of 1, 2, or 3 confirmed by laboratory SCC before being treated as a positive finding, never read as diagnostic on its own
- Any animal flagged routed to a veterinarian under a formal veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) for a treatment decision, drug, and dose, never chosen from this packet
- Milking-order and isolation practice for a flagged animal recorded (milked last, per the operation's own biosecurity protocol)
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1790264028859_2izbdit","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
