Steps

  1. 1. From public ground, locate every public storm inlet on the perimeter block with a GPS point and photograph each one with its protection state: protected (a cover, a gravel bag ring, a filter insert visible), bare, or clogged.
  2. 2. Read the fence line from the sidewalk: silt fence, fiber rolls or gravel bag berms visible and whole, or fallen, gapped or buried, each photographed with a GPS point. Nothing is entered and nothing is touched on the build side.
  3. 3. After each rain, return within a day and log muddy water at the curb, sediment on the sidewalk and in the gutter, a discharge from the gate, and the rain's date beside each photo's time. File a discharge with the city's stormwater line and with the regional water board, and file a clogged inlet with the city, recording every reference number.
  4. 4. For the weekly grate run, photograph each grate, rake its surface clear of sediment, gravel and litter into bags, weigh or count the bags, photograph it again, and file any basin full to the grate with the city. The grate is never lifted and nothing is reached into the basin.
  5. 5. Publish the log or the run with its photos, times, weights and reference numbers, without any statement that the site is compliant or in violation, and anchor its content hash via vealth.net/anchor.

  • The material removed, bagged, weighed or counted, and where it went
  • Any basin full to the grate filed on the city's line with the reference number, never opened

What is promised, and what is not
