Steps
- 1. Walk the resident's own yard with the resident and identify bare or thinly-vegetated soil at risk of blowing dust (a dead lawn patch, a bare strip along a fence line, disturbed ground near a driveway); photograph the bare area before planting.
- 2. Loosen the soil surface by hand and rake out any large debris, without disturbing a septic drain field or buried utility.
- 3. Seed or plug a native, drought-tolerant High Plains grass cover at the design rate across the bare area.
- 4. Water in per the establishment schedule and photograph the finished planting from the matching before vantage, recording species/mix and square footage covered.
