  1. Photograph the shelter's bedding condition before servicing.
  2. Remove damp or soiled bedding and lay fresh straw to a dry, sufficient depth.
  3. While the group is gathered and calm, look over each animal's feet for visible overgrowth, cracking, or heat.
  4. Note any animal flagged for foot condition for the operation's own follow-up.
  5. Photograph the re-bedded shelter and log the count of animals observed.
