Steps
- Confirm the work with the business owner before starting.
- Photograph each fixture before starting, showing the old fluorescent tube and its wattage label.
- Power off the fixture at its switch or breaker.
- Set up a properly rated ladder with a spotter present before reaching any storefront fixture.
- Remove the old fluorescent tube from the fixture.
- Install the new LED lamp in the fixture.
- Restore power and cycle the fixture on and off to confirm it works.
- Photograph each fixture after the swap, showing the new LED lamp and its label.
- Count every fixture retrofitted, match the count against the corridor's total, and record it with the fixtures' GPS location as the closing proof.
