Steps

  1. Arrange the school-staff escort and schedule the work for off school hours where possible.
  2. Power off the classroom HVAC unit at its switch before opening the access door.
  3. Open the access door and take a before photo of the unit's old, lower-rated filter.
  4. Remove the old filter media from the rack.
  5. Take a label photo of the new MERV-13 or HEPA-rated filter media before installing it.
  6. Seat the new filter media flush in the rack with no bypass gap.
  7. Take an after photo confirming the new media seats flush with no bypass gap.
  8. Close the access door and power the unit back on.
  9. Repeat for each classroom rack named in the job.
  10. Log the install date and filter-change interval in the school's maintenance records, and record all photos and the log as the completed proof set.
