- Photograph each fixture as found, with the existing bulb, tube or wattage label visible.
- Power off the fixture at its switch or breaker.
- Position a properly rated ladder with a spotter steadying it, then remove the old bulb or tube.
- Install the new LED lamp matched to the socket and fitting.
- Restore power at the switch or breaker and cycle the fixture on and off to confirm it lights.
- Photograph the retrofitted fixture with the new LED lamp and its wattage or lumen label visible.
- Tally the number of fixtures retrofitted against the household's total and record the GPS location of the home.
