You wrote the standard for agent payments. Here's the merchant your thesis is missing.

Coinbase authored x402 (a web-native way for AI agents to pay per use), launched the x402 Foundation with Cloudflare, and reports tens of thousands of active agents moving stablecoins over HTTP. Credit where it's due: your consumer domain even ships a real llms.txt (the file AI assistants read first), and CDP docs ship a real A2A agent card (a file that lets other AI agents discover and call you), genuinely ahead of the field. What the agentic-commerce thesis still needs is a merchant that settles verified real-world work, not just digital APIs, and EcoWealth is a live, independent, standard-conformant x402 merchant doing exactly that, on Base, over your own standard.

The whole thing, plainly What we found: Coinbase built the x402 payment standard and already ships a real agent-discovery file and agent card, a strong baseline, credited in full. What we already built, free: a live, standard-conformant x402 merchant on Base that settles a real-world work packet, plus a ready-to-use kit (llms.txt, agent card, MCP tool schemas). The one ask: list this merchant as the first "verified physical outcome" category in your agent directory, or make one $0.10 test payment against it.
Read this first. Independent, unsolicited concept work by EcoWealth Corporation. Not requested by, produced with, reviewed by, or endorsed by Coinbase Global, Inc. or any affiliate. All observations come from Coinbase's public web pages via passive reads (plain HTTP GETs, standard well-known paths): no scanning, probing, auth, or enumeration. EcoWealth is an independent builder using public rails: our contract is on Base mainnet, we are a standard x402 merchant, and we self-host the Coinbase Smart Wallet SDK for passkey sign-in. This is not a partnership, endorsement, or claim of being known to Coinbase. "Coinbase", "x402", "CDP", and "Base" are Coinbase's marks, referenced descriptively.

Four facts from the public record

Credit-first. Each is reproducible with one command: the brief has the exact curl lines and HTTP statuses.

You ship a real consumer llms.txt
www.coinbase.com/llms.txt → 200, text/plain, 5,098 B, routes agents to Agentic Wallet, AgentKit, x402. The company that wrote x402 exposes an agent surface. Credited.
Real A2A card on docs
docs.cdp.coinbase.com/.well-known/agent-card.json → 200, application/json, protocolVersion 0.3. A genuine agent card. Credited.
security.txt expired ~2 years
www.coinbase.com/.well-known/security.txt is real but Expires: 2024-06-01, stale since mid-2024. For the firm setting agentic-payment norms, a precise hygiene miss.
No x402 well-known on your own consumer host
www.coinbase.com/.well-known/x402 and /agent-card.json are true 404s. The x402 author doesn't ship an x402 discovery manifest on coinbase.com; the agent card lives only on docs.

The concept, in three pages

Capability brief

A credit-first read of Coinbase's agent surface

The strongest baseline we've reviewed, credited in full first. Then five precise findings: the expired security.txt, the missing consumer-domain x402/agent-card, and the one category the whole stack lacks: a proof-of-outcome merchant for real-world work. Each with the exact URL, status, and re-check command.

A physical-work merchant in the Bazaar

In Coinbase's palette: a CDP Agentic Wallet discovers our work-packet program in an x402 directory, pays $0.10 over the exact standard you published, and receives a proof-verified ecological work packet with an on-chain settlement receipt. The first physical-outcome merchant category, running on your rails. Concept-labeled.

What a proof-of-outcome x402 listing looks like

Concept files: an llms.txt for the merchant, an A2A agent card, a standard x402 accepts[] block, MCP (the protocol that lets an AI assistant call your tools) schemas for fund → proof → settle, and a concierge persona. Boxed and vendor-neutral, exactly the shape your Bazaar indexes.

The proof stack behind this (live today, ours)

A running x402 merchant, not slides: standard accepts[] emitted, EIP-3009 exact-scheme accepted, self-settled with no facilitator (our own settlement core). Endpoints discoverable at vealth.net/.well-known/x402 (real JSON, 22 paths): work-packet $0.10, health-packet $0.05. Settlement lands on the EWP contract on Base mainnet 0x76c17C…A14B (first settled packet workId 14). Board: 7,624 postings / ~$671k posted value (vealth.net/labor/stats). We are already inside your ecosystem, a Base merchant paying and settling over your own standard.
Put one agent on-chain today: the scary part, made small

This is your own thesis working, end-to-end, in one afternoon for ten cents, no adoption required, because it runs on the standard you already published.

  1. Give any AI agent a Base wallet, a CDP Agentic Wallet, Claude, a GPT-class model, your own, holding a few cents of USDC. No account with us, no API key, no sales call.
  2. Point it at a live endpoint. The work-packet program answers HTTP 402 with a standard x402 payment schema; the agent signs a USDC authorization and pays $0.10. A runnable client with a dry-run default is at vealth.net/recipes.html.
  3. What comes back is a bounded, proof-verified ecological work packet, and every step the agent took (payment, settlement) is an on-chain receipt anyone can verify, forever.

Why this isn't scary: the agent cannot do anything invisible. Every action embeds its own receipt: permanent, public, verifiable. That is more accountability than most enterprise software offers, not less. And it is a literal end-to-end demo of x402 doing what you built it for: settling a real merchant, over HTTP, keyless.

The bet: you already report tens of thousands of active x402 agents and nine-figure transaction counts: the demand is real and it's yours. Being early on a proof-of-outcome merchant category costs $0.10 and one afternoon. Being late means the verified physical-work track records index into someone else's directory first.

The ask

The teach-block above is the free, no-account first move. The listing/funding ask rides on top: small, concrete, tied to your own agentic-commerce thesis.

Index one merchant. List EcoWealth's live work-packet program in Agent.market / the Bazaar as the first proof-of-outcome (real-world-work) category: it already emits standard accepts[] and self-settles EIP-3009.
Make one machine payment. Have one CDP Agentic Wallet make a single x402 call $0.10 USDC on Base against our endpoint → the settled payment + on-chain proof receipt is the deliverable.
Fund one packet. Back a single proof-verified ecological packet ~$10 → receive the tCO2e retirement receipt that extends your onchain-economy story from digital APIs to physical outcomes.

Deliverable in every case: an on-chain receipt you verify yourself, settled over your own standard. Contact: [email protected].

x402 proved agents can pay for a digital API. The next proof is agents paying for a verified physical outcome: funded, GPS-signed, settled on Base. We run that merchant today, on your standard.
