Steps

  1. Photograph each window as found (frame, sash, any existing gaps) and measure the interior frame opening.
  2. Clean the frame surface so the double-sided tape adheres, then apply tape around the full perimeter.
  3. Cut the film to size, press it to the tape, and shrink it drum-tight with a hair dryer/heat gun on low, working edge to center.
  4. Trim the excess film cleanly and photograph the finished, taut, bubble-free film from the same vantage as the before photo.
