Keep the seasonal condition record of the Ormond Beach wetlands (2026-07-18)
Ormond Beach is one of Southern California's last big coastal wetland complexes, ringed by industry and slated for restoration. A consistent seasonal photo record from the public access points โ water extent, bird activity, fence breaches, dumping โ supports the restoration planning already underway. Standard: Coastal Conservancy Ormond Beach restoration program; CRAM-style rapid condition notes. SDG 14/15. Proof: fixed-vantage seasonal photo set + notes + GPS Method (Coastal Conservancy Ormond Beach restoration program; CRAM-style rapid condition notes. SDG 14/15.): 1. From the public access points and beach, photograph the standard vantage set each visit. 2. Note water extent, visible bird concentrations, fence/berm condition, and any dumping. 3. GPS-tag each vantage; keep vantages identical across visits. 4. Submit the seasonal set with notes. Done when: fixed-vantage seasonal photo set + notes + GPS
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 45โ90 minutes. Method of record: EPA National Wetland Condition Assessment (rapid method)
Bring
- GPS phone
- quadrat frame
- invasive-species ID reference
- boots
- insect protection
- camera
Steps
- 1. Navigate to the wetland edge; record GPS; stay on stable ground.
- 2. Photograph 3 quadrat stations.
- 3. At each station, estimate percent cover native vs invasive; identify the dominant invasive.
- 4. Note hydrology / water level and any disturbance.
- 5. Enter cover percentages, invasive ID, hydrology, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.
If it does not match the plan
- Standing water + wildlife (snakes/alligators) -> maintain distance; never sample alone.
- High invasive cover -> flag for a management/removal plan.
What counts as done
- Percent cover native vs invasive recorded at 3 stations
- Dominant invasive species identified
- Hydrology / water-level note recorded
- GPS waypoints + quadrat photos
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
