Hand-clear the 0–5 ft ember zone around an invited Paradise home (2026-07-18)

The survey's top items are almost always hand work: raking litter to bare soil in the first five feet, pulling combustible mulch off the wall line, moving the firewood stack, clearing under the deck edge. Done to the checklist, this is the highest-value fire work an untrained person can safely do. Standard: CAL FIRE PRC 4291 Zone 0 guidance (ember-resistant zone). SDG 11/13. Proof: before/after per segment + green-waste photo Method (CAL FIRE PRC 4291 Zone 0 guidance (ember-resistant zone). SDG 11/13.): 1. From the survey list, photograph each 0–5 ft segment before. 2. Rake litter and needles to bare soil/gravel; pull mulch and stored combustibles off the wall line; relocate firewood 30+ ft out. 3. Clear the visible deck-edge and fence-line litter you can reach from the ground with hand tools. 4. Photograph each segment after from matching vantage; bag green waste for the town's collection. Done when: before/after per segment + green-waste photo

Pay
$75 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
before/after per segment + green-waste photo

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 45–90 minutes. Method of record: NFPA 1144 / Firewise USA structure-ignition-zone defensible-space assessment — documentation-only from a safe public/yard vantage

Bring

Steps

  1. 1. Document only — photograph Zone 0 (0-5 ft from the structure), Zone 1 (5-30 ft) and Zone 2 (30-100 ft) from the driveway or yard edge; never enter dense brush or approach a structurally questionable outbuilding.
  2. 2. Note vegetation type, spacing and ladder-fuel presence (brush touching tree canopy) in each zone from the safe vantage.
  3. 3. Photograph the roof material, gutters, vents, and any firewood or combustible material stacked against the structure.
  4. 4. Compile the zone-by-zone findings into a defensible-space checklist naming what a licensed/credentialed vegetation-management crew should clear first; never clear, cut, or move anything during this survey.

What counts as done

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

Claim it on the board

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
