What the work involves

Wind off the fallowed and worked fields around Wasco drives dust straight through town, into coolers, lungs, and every windowsill, in a county with some of the worst particle pollution in the nation. A planted windbreak row of drought-tough natives at an invited field edge or lot line slows the wind and drops the dust before it reaches homes. Rows planted this season protect for decades.

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
Row photos from both ends plus species/count list with GPS/date

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. Confirm the invited planting line with the landholder and call 811 utility marking before digging.
  2. Set out one- or two-row spacing per the NRCS windbreak layout for the species chosen.
  3. Dig, plant, and basin each tree or shrub with the root flare at grade.
  4. Water deeply, mulch each basin, and stake only where wind demands it.
  5. Photograph the planted row from both ends and record species and count with GPS and date.

What counts as done

  • Photo along the planted row from each end
  • Close-up photos of at least three planted, basined, mulched plants
  • Written species and count list
  • GPS-tagged completion photo with date

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Soil Health. Soil health is the discovery, now written into USDA standards, that soil is not dirt but a living body: it breathes, digests, holds water, and can sicken or recover. The tests are wonderfully physical. Time how fast water soaks in. See whether a clod holds together in water or falls apart. Smell for the sweetness of organic matter. Mastery looks like a farmer who can read a handful of ground like a page. This packet is one plot examined by those methods and recorded, one honest page in the story of a piece of land.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1784408683351_e0zq8f0","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
