Confirm the host site invitation and mark the shade footprint clear of utilities using the 811 locate service.
Set the posts in ground anchors or weighted bases so no digging deeper than 18 inches is needed.
Stretch and fasten the UV-rated shade fabric taut between posts at or below a working height reachable from the ground or a short step stool.
Check every fastener and shake-test the frame for stability.
Photograph the finished structure from two angles with shade visibly cast, GPS-tagged and dated.
