Steps

Confirm the host's invitation and inspect the existing sump pit, discharge line, and outlet.
Install the battery backup pump and its check valve alongside the primary per the manufacturer's manual.
Mount the battery box off the floor, connect the charger, and label the system.
Test both pumps by filling the pit with water, on utility power and on battery.
Photograph the installed system, the label, and both passing tests, GPS-tagged and dated.
