  1. Confirm the planting plan and locations with the parks department contact and call 811.
  2. Dig each hole twice the root ball width and no deeper than the flare.
  3. Set each tree straight, backfill, and water in deeply.
  4. Mulch rings clear of the trunks and stake against the prairie wind.
  5. Photograph the planted grove with a tree count, GPS-tagged and dated.
