The Mack Road corridor through Meadowview in south Sacramento is one of the city's most heat-exposed commercial strips, with wide asphalt lots and almost no street tree canopy to cut the summer radiant heat pedestrians and bus riders stand in every day. New plantings along the sidewalk edge start bringing that canopy back. If it does not match the plan

• Dead or hazardous tree observed -> flag for the responsible agency (no removal by surveyor).
• High vacant-site count -> recommend a planting plan for the corridor.
