Cut a curb opening to feed street runoff into a rain garden

Even a well-built rain garden does nothing for street flooding in Heliópolis if runoff can't actually reach it — most curbs run solid with no opening to let water in. Cutting a simple curb opening and directing flow into a planted rain garden pocket gives that water somewhere useful to go instead of pooling in the roadway. This is intermediate public-space build work. Standard: UN-Habitat urban drainage guidance; SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) Proof: Photo of the finished curb cut feeding the rain garden Method (UN-Habitat urban drainage guidance; SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities)): 1. Identify a curb section where runoff currently pools instead of draining. 2. Cut a shallow opening in the curb using hand tools. 3. Grade a small channel from the opening into the rain garden pocket. 4. Plant water-tolerant species in the garden pocket. 5. Photograph the finished curb cut and rain garden and record the date. Pay
$300 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 30–75 minutes. Method of record: EPA green-infrastructure inspection (bioretention / bioswale / permeable pavement function + maintenance)

Bring

Steps

  1. 1. Locate the GI asset; record GPS; identify the type (rain garden / bioswale / permeable pavement / tree filter).
  2. 2. Photograph the asset, its inlet, and its outlet/overflow.
  3. 3. Check the inlet and outlet for blockage (sediment, trash, mulch) and note whether flow can enter/leave freely.
  4. 4. Check for standing water and estimate whether it drains within the design window (typically <24-48h after rain); probe media if dry.
  5. 5. Assess vegetation/media condition and estimate sediment/trash accumulation depth.
  6. 6. Note erosion, bypass, or structural damage and list the maintenance needed.
  7. 7. Enter asset type, condition, inlet/outlet status, drainage observation, sediment level, maintenance needs, GPS, photos; sign.

What counts as done

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

Claim it on the board

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
