1. 1. Confirm the segment with Forest Service staff and photograph the degraded seep before starting, staying on stable ground above standing water.
2. 2. Hand dig planting holes at the seep margin only, hand tools only, no power equipment, staying above standing water at all times.
3. 3. Hand plant native Pineywoods seep wetland species (sweetbay magnolia, swamp titi, Virginia sweetspire) at the wetland margin.
4. 4. Hand mulch around the new plantings and photograph the planted margin from the matching before vantage, recording species and plant count.
